Wisconsin FFA Foundation Welcomes Hansen Foods as Star Mission Partner
Northeast Wisconsin-based company supports agricultural education as all-encompassing sponsor

MADISON, Wis. [August 8, 2019] – Hansen Foods has partnered with the Wisconsin FFA Foundation with a $5,000 gift as a Star Mission Partner. The Green Bay-based company is a new benefactor of the non-profit organization, which supports the Wisconsin Association of FFA and other agricultural education partners statewide.

Hansen Foods has been in business for over 100 years, and its owner is a former member of the farming community and FFA. “We are very excited about partnering with the Wisconsin FFA Foundation because we heavily support the Wisconsin agricultural community with the annual purchase of 2 million pounds of cheese and 1 million pounds of meat directly from our state to produce our award-winning pizzas,” says Karin Price, vice president of Fundraising and Business Development at Hansen Foods.

In addition to pizza, Price says the company offers fruit, a private label, high-quality cookie dough, sausage/cheese, chocolates, candles and much more in its fundraising line. In all, Hansen Foods offers more than 70 products that are manufactured, produced or sourced from Wisconsin. She says that to continue supporting Wisconsin’s economy, Hansen Foods has partnered with a long-standing Wisconsin fruit company for its fruit fundraising program.

The Foundation’s Star Mission Partners support all five entities of the Wisconsin agricultural education team: the Wisconsin FFA Alumni Association, Wisconsin Association of FFA, Wisconsin Association of Agricultural Educators, Wisconsin FFA Center and the Foundation itself. These dollars are used to support the following initiatives:
  1. agricultural education program start-up;
  2. agricultural education program retention and growth;
  3. agricultural education teacher recruitment, retention and group education;
  4. developing Team Ag-Ed program leadership;
  5. increasing agricultural education’s focus on agri-science, technology, engineering and mathematics; or
  6. developing FFA programs based upon the FFA vision to “Grow Leaders, Build Communities and to Strengthen Agriculture.”
“We look forward to being a long-term partner with the Wisconsin FFA Foundation, and to serving FFA chapters throughout the State of Wisconsin with our high-quality fundraising programs and service,” Price adds.

The Wisconsin FFA Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) organization, unites individuals, organizations and companies who share a common interest in the advancement of agriculture and community leadership through FFA. You can support today’s FFA members by supporting the programs that have been core tenets of the FFA: proficiency awards, career development events, state FFA degrees, sectional leadership workshops, scholarships, chapter awards, agri-science fair, state FFA convention and state officer support.
