Investors Community Bank pledges support to Wisconsin FFA as Star Mission Partner
Madison, Wis. [October 12, 2017] – Investors Community Bank has committed financial support to the Wisconsin FFA Foundation as a One-Star Star Mission Partner.
The Foundation’s Star Mission Partners support all entities of Wisconsin FFA (Alumni, Association, Center, Foundation and WAAE) through a grant program available for projects in the following areas: agricultural education program start-up; agricultural education program retention and growth; agricultural education teacher recruitment, retention and group education; developing Team Ag-Ed program leadership; increasing agricultural education’s focus on agriscience, technology, engineering and mathematics; and developing FFA programs based upon the FFA vision to Grow Leaders, Build Communities and Strengthen Agriculture.
With corporate offices in Manitowoc, Investors Community Bank also has several loan production offices and bank locations throughout the state. The bank’s financial support comes at a crucial time in the history of Wisconsin FFA, as the organization is experiencing its highest membership level in 38 years, more than 20,800 students wearing blue and gold jackets.
“Investors Community Bank is excited to partner with the Wisconsin FFA Foundation,” states Chris Schneider, vice president – Senior Ag Banking Officer at ICB and a board member of the Wisconsin FFA Foundation. “We firmly believe in the mission of the FFA and their focus on developing future leaders in the ag industry. One of our primary focuses is also agriculture, with farm customers throughout the state, so partnering with FFA is a natural fit for us.”
Investors Community Bank joins the following benefactors to the Star Mission Program: CHS Foundation, Compeer Financial, Culver Franchising System, Organic Valley/CROPP Cooperative, Rural Mutual Insurance Company, Alliant Energy Foundation and ANIMART.
The Wisconsin FFA Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, unites individuals, organizations and companies who share a common interest in the advancement of agriculture and community leadership through FFA. You can support today’s FFA members by supporting the programs that have been core tenets of the FFA: proficiency awards, career development events, state FFA degrees, sectional leadership workshops, scholarships, chapter awards, agri-science fair, state FFA convention and state officer support.
