8/2/18 Annual Golf Outings Continue Generous Giving to Wisconsin FFA
Wisconsin FFA Foundation celebrates 2018 Golf Outings’ success
MADISON, Wis. [August 2, 2018] – The Wisconsin FFA Foundation celebrates the conclusion of three successful golf outings and continued generous giving to Wisconsin FFA from sponsors, golfers and in-kind donors around the state.
The Foundation’s trio of 2018 outings raised nearly $40,500 to support Wisconsin FFA and agricultural education. These summer events have collectively yielded more than $370,000 in donated funds since 2010, when the newest outing of the three was first held in northeastern Wisconsin. Proceeds from all of the golf outings significantly aid the Foundation’s annual fund, an essential account which maintains operations of the organization, as well as supplements the needs of Wisconsin FFA throughout the year.
The 2018 events were held in Eau Claire (Northwest), De Pere (Northeast) and Middleton (Southern), and brought together more than 225 partners on the course, as well as nearly 100 hole and in-kind sponsors. Each summer, these benefactors contribute time, dollars and in-kind donations to continue achieving this vital success of the Foundation’s largest annual fundraising effort. The Foundation thanks all the individual and group efforts that make this accomplishment possible.
"We're grateful to our sponsors and golfers who make these events an annual tradition in support of agricultural education and FFA," says John Hromyak, Wisconsin FFA Foundation executive director. "More than just a fundraiser, we see our golf outings as a way to connect face-to-face with our community of individual supporters and an opportunity to strengthen our relationship with industry sponsors. We hope to continue to see growth and invite all to next year's outings!"
