1/19/18 Wisconsin FFA Foundation Welcomes Bressner to Board of Directors

MADISON, Wis. [January 19, 2018] – The Wisconsin FFA Foundation is excited to welcome Tom Bressner to its Board of Directors.

Bressner currently serves as the executive director for the Wisconsin Agri-Business Association. He also is the president of the Wisconsin Transportation Development Association, co-director of the Wisconsin Agribusiness Classic Convention and Trade Show, and also serves on the Wisconsin DOT Freight Advisory Council, DNR Invasive Species Council, UW-Discovery Farms Project Steering Committee, Fox Valley Technical College Agriculture Advisory Council, and the Wisconsin Corn Promotion Board.

Bressner hails from Pontiac, Ill., where he grew up on a Guernsey dairy and grain farm. He was very active in FFA in his youth, earning the Section 9 Star State Farmer award, serving as an Illinois FFA State Vice President, as well as participating on a state winning dairy judging team.

"Many years ago as a high school student myself, I memorized those words - I believe in the future of agriculture with a faith born not of words but of deeds,” says Bressner. “I have always tried to do my part to make this statement true. Becoming a member of the Wisconsin FFA Foundation Board is just one more way to show my belief and to help in building the future of agriculture. I look forward to serving on the FFA Foundation Board."

He also has served on the following Wisconsin FFA selection committees: state officer candidate, national officer candidate and Foundation scholarship awards. Tom has been married to his wife, Carol, for 37 years. They have four grown children, and four grandchildren (with a fifth one coming in February).
