Testimonial: A brief statement about the value of serving as a state FFA officer and how it helped you to get where you are today. Also any other words of encouragement you would provide students and parents about the experience of serving as a state FFA officer. Please keep it short and concise as we will have testimonies from a number of past state FFA officers.

Through the election process, I learned the true meaning of persistence. Losing in the finals round twice before I was finally elected was a tremendous learning experience! Serving as an officer was excellent preparation for becoming an Ag. Ed. Teacher and the connections made during the year are still a great asset.

Being an FFA Officer exposed me to the International Leadership Seminar for State Officers (ILSSO) with kicked off my passion for traveling internationally. 5-around the world trips later, I am integrating global ag. education into the classroom on a regular basis.

Did I love the experience and would I do it again? Id serve in a leadership capacity again in a heartbeat to an organization that made me who I am today!

We would love to hear from you as soon as possible as we are already approaching the time of year when members will be deciding to run for office.

We will continue to update this portion of the website so that we can provide great information for students to better understand the experience of serving as a state officer.
