Testimonial: Meeting people, traveling, building my personal strengths, and continuing to expand my teamwork skills were some of the gifts the FFA organization gave to me as a member. I decided to run for State FFA Office because I wanted to help the organization that shaped me into the person I am today. I wanted to influence students across the state and show them what opportunities are available in agriculture and the FFA organization. Being elected to serve as a 2005-2006 State FFA Officer was an outstanding experience! Getting to work with top notch state staff, advisors and teammates is unmatched to any experience I have had.
You will meet many FFA members, advisors, industry leaders and members of the FFA and agricultural community during your State FFA Officer experience. Those connections will prove to be valuable assets and continue to play a part in your future and your career. The professional training I received as a State Officer provided me with the tools to be the best during my year. It prepared me for a variety of situations and events a State Officer may be apart of, but that professional training continues to give me a “secret weapon” that few others have in any career.
When I take time off of work to be apart of the State FFA Convention each year, I tell people I am going to see my family. The FFA is like family to me. I will never forget my FFA experiences and my year of service as a State FFA Officer. My teammates are my best friends and will continue to be forever. I highly recommend the State FFA Officer experience!
