Testimonial: For me, serving as a state FFA officer was the "total personal growth package." It opened my eyes to the agricultural industry through travel, meetings with industry representatives, and tours of farms and agribusinesses. My communication skills were developed through writing speeches, presenting workshops, and giving media interviews. And finally, my interpersonal skills improved by working as a team, serving as a role model for students, and interacting with the public on a regular basis. My state officer experience, without question, laid the foundation for many other achievements in my life.
