Why Join FFA
Premier Leadership. Personal Growth. Career Success. These are not only crucial components to the National FFA Organization's mission statement, they are what over half a million students across the country are working towards as an FFA member. Wisconsin FFA members have the opportunity to develop leadership skills through officer positions, competitions, and conferences.
Members are growing public speaking skills and self-esteem by learning within and outside the agricultural classroom. The over 20,000 Wisconsin FFA members are preparing for careers, whether they enter a career directly related to agriculture or not, with hands-on learning experiences and real-life situations. Students are doing this while having fun, traveling around the country, and meeting new friends. Joining FFA gives students opportunities that cannot be found anywhere else, and members are having the time of their lives!
How to Join
In order to join FFA, your local school system must offer agricultural education and have an active FFA chapter for you to join. If this is so, contact your school's agricultural education instructor for more information on joining!
If your school doesn't have an agricultural education program, take steps to open a program in your school. In order to accomplish this task we strongly recommend that you contact our state agricultural education staff, Mrs. Cheryl Zimmerman to express your interest and ask for assistance on regulations, requirements and resources for planning the new program.
